About Me.

“Creating a dream, digging, UN-ear thing something inside you that was hidden, unexposed, an unknown factor found, or brought to life. It glows until self doubt is exposed forcing you to ask questions of worth to work through failures, inexperience to gain control moving forward towards hope, but it is a continuous cycle in our lifetime many cannot escape. It’s why we have to sometimes forgive ourselves for not being good enough for others. There are times we just have to be good enough for ourselves. When this is, I don’t know, because I want to be somebody. I seek change, fulfillment from more then greed, money, and power by reaching others who might say: Me too, Your story really made me think, or I never knew you could write that well. What do you do when no matter what you do the dream is just a dream even when you put it out there? Although others may laugh, my dream says Keep on Trying…Don’t give up… All the other times You Gave Up to Soon.”-Angela Crandall

Motivation

I took a few days off of work this week in hopes of a writing rampage. I cannot say I have not seen any prosperity, or growth in my abilities, but it is impossible for me not to want more.

As a writer, and retail worker I don’t feel as if I fit any one particular genre. I tend to write sporadically some days achieving much success while others I seem to flounder. My idea of this is writing 1,000 words, or more than not being able to continue. Often, I will re-read my story adding detail along with a bit of mild editing to ensure all the pieces fit, and are correctly placed for the next reveal.

Staying motivated is the difficult part. I spend hours, doing the above. Afterwards, simply wanting more out of myself. Am I impossible?

I ask  myself, is so bad to take a break from what I am working at, and go back to it? I’ve accomplished much doing this. It troubles me that I am unable to move faster. I tend to work  at a snail’s pace, or a turtle with little successes here and there.

Any Advice?

Choices, Ripples, impact

I hunger for motivation

the drive to move forward

to complete what I started

a conclusion, solution

even

open ended impact

meant to implode

either

beautiful fire works

or

horrible bombs

all

based on choice

free will

each

ripple

set

with

each

stone

will yours create beauty

or

death

How many hands do we have left

to hold

or

to

slap

Will you look back?

Or

Keep going?

Choices

that’s all there are

Scars of hope

or

hopelessness

you

Pick.

unblocking writers block.

Take out a piece of paper, and write out a list of questions you would have as a reader up to this point of your unfinished novel, or short story.

Then answer these questions, think about the plot, how in depth do you want it? Have you done any character profiles? It is also important that you insure you have no holes, or issues of flip flopping idea’s. These are things that need to be checked for along with editing for spelling, and grammatical errors. I suggest using http://www.grammerly.com You can use the free version, or opt into the version you can choose to pay for.

Take your time, lots of writers worry about getting out their projects now so they will not be forgotten. Even though it is an important part of being a writer so is the quality of your work. One of  my goals I set for myself as a writer is that each book I publish has improved over the last.

Have a great Saturday!

Inside of us

The beginning

Dormant

silent

steady

Inside of us

we wait

ready

to

break

Out of a  shell

surrounding us

boundaries set

discipline

learned

unsettling easements

shiftyness

Fear of non-conformity

What others think

until you

grow

sprout

reach

Leap

into the arms of yourself

realizing

I live to be me

and through being myself

I help others

otherwise

we are

a  lie.
